スピーキングの壁を乗り越える一歩

英語を学ぶことに本気で取り組むようになってから、私は何度も壁にぶつかってきました。
Since I began to seriously study English, I have faced many obstacles.

中でも「話す力」を伸ばそうとしたとき、それはとても大きな挑戦に思えました。
Among them, trying to improve my speaking skills felt like a major challenge.

まるで、子どもの頃にプラモデル作りを楽しんでいた自分が、今は実際に人が住む家を一から建てようとしているような感覚です。
It felt like I had gone from building model kits as a child to trying to build a real house from scratch.

必要とされる技術、完成までの道のり、そのすべてが段違いに感じられます。
The required skills and the path to completion all felt on a completely different level.

でも、本当に「使える英語力」を身につけたいのなら、時間も、練習も、そしてたくさんの失敗も必要です。
But if you really want to acquire practical English skills, you need time, practice, and lots of mistakes.

最初の100回は、ただの練習でかまいません。
The first 100 times can just be practice.

うまく言えなくても、間違えても、「声に出す」ことが大切なのです。
Even if you can't say it well or make mistakes, what's important is speaking out loud.

私たちはつい、上手な英語を話す人の動画や教材を見て、「自分にはまだ早い」「もっと準備が必要だ」と感じてしまいます。
We tend to watch videos of fluent speakers and think, "It’s too early for me" or "I need more preparation."

でも、それが落とし穴です。
But that is the trap.

行動しない理由を探しているだけになっていないでしょうか？
Aren’t you just looking for excuses not to take action?

大切なのは、小さな一歩でも前に進むこと。
What matters is taking even the smallest step forward.

完璧じゃなくても、とにかく始めてみること。
Even if it’s not perfect, just start.

私の初めての英語スピーチやVlogは、まるで子どもが描いた絵のように不格好でした。
My first English speech and Vlog were as clumsy as a child’s drawing.

でも、その一歩がなければ、学びは始まりません。
But without that first step, the learning wouldn’t have started.

英語学習においても、白紙のままでは何も変わらないのです。
In language learning too, nothing changes if the page stays blank.

たとえ不完全でも、声を出し、間違え、直しながら進んでいく中で、少しずつ「自分だけの色」が生まれてきます。
Even if it's imperfect, by speaking, making mistakes, and correcting them, your unique color will gradually appear.

完璧を目指すより、「始めた自分」を誇りに思いましょう。
Rather than aiming for perfection, be proud of the version of yourself that has started.

それが、本当の成長への第一歩です。
That is the true first step toward growth.
